AD/BEECH 55/26 Electrical Cable Loom Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/26.
Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEECH 55/26 | Electrical Cable Loom | 6/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD issued in 1971, required an inspection of electrical cables behind lower left hand circuit breaker panel adjacent to the control pedestal to ascertain that adequate clearance between the cable loom and any panels or screws connecting leads to the rear of the circuit breakers. This requirement was raised following an in-flight fire caused by shielded cables in the loom shorting on the screw securing the bus bar to the landing light circuit breaker. Compliance was within 15 hours TIS after 21 October 1971. As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, and no State of Design AD is current, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists. |
