AD/BEECH 55/22 Utility Baggage Door Handle Installation Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/22.
Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEECH 55/22 | Utility Baggage Door Handle Installation | 6/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD was raised against Beechcraft SI 0422-107, with a compliance period of 100 hours TIS after 31 May 1971, to ensure that the inside utility baggage door handle was installed correctly and couldn't be opened without first pressing the release button. Raytheon raised MSB 2693 in May 1996, and the FAA raised AD 97-14-15 in 1997 covering both the utility and cabin door handles. AD/BEECH 55/82 now refers. As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, and ongoing maintenance actions for the utility baggage door handle is now covered by AD/BEECH 55/82, this AD is no longer required. |
