AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/21.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/21 Fuel Line Chafing 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1971, issued against Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 0419-281 rather than a State of Design AD, recommended that rubber chafe strips or other suitable material be installed between the spar and cross-feed fuel lines to prevent chaffing.  Compliance was not later than the next 100 hourly inspection after 15 April 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
