AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/2.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/2 Rib in Area Adjacent to Rudder Torque Tube 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1961, required an inspection of the 96-630000-7 rib to determine if cracks were evident in the area adjacent to the rudder torque tube weld attachment in accordance with Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No. 4.  The inspection was to be accomplished before 1 September 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
