AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/16.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/16 Engine Plumbing 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1970 against Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 0257-190, rather than a State of Design AD, required an inspection of the pneumatic pressure regulator valves and lines to ensure proper clamping to prevent possible interference with any other components and lines in the engine bay.  Just prior to the issue of the SI the SDR system recorded a local incidence of a vacuum flexible hose chaffing through the adjoining main fuel line.  Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 23 January 1970.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
