AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/1.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/1 Elevator Assemblies 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1961 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin 55‑No.1, required inspection, and if necessary, modification to prevent the elevator skin or spar from cracking at the elevator tab actuator cut-out.  Compliance was required before 01 September 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
