AD/BEECH 36/10 Utility Baggage Door Handle Installation Cancelled (Cth)

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 36/10.

AD/BEECH 36/10 Utility Baggage Door Handle Installation 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised against Beechcraft SI 0422, with a compliance period of 100 hours TIS after 31 May 1971, to ensure that the inside utility baggage door handle was installed correctly and couldn't be opened without first pressing the release button.

However, the FAA raised AD 97-14-15 in 1997 covering both the utility and cabin door handles.  AD/BEECH 36/44 now refers.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, and ongoing safety action for the utility baggage door handle is now required by
AD/BEECH 36/44, AD/BEECH 36/10 is no longer required.
