AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 35/42.

Beechcraft 35 (Bonanza) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 35/42 Internally Lighted Altimeter 5/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 8 May 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD) was issued in 1973 against Beechcraft Executive Airplane Safety Communiqué No. 33/35/55/58 - 21 rather than a State of Design AD.  Beechcraft Executive Airplane Safety Communiqué required a one-off inspection and replacement of altimeters installed in Beech aircraft between September 1972 and August 1973.  Compliance with the AD was with 50 hours TIS after 17 October 1973.  As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
