AD/BEECH 35/34 Turbocharger Oil Inlet Fitting Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 35/34.
Beechcraft 35 (Bonanza) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEECH 35/34 | Turbocharger Oil Inlet Fitting | 5/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 8 May 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD was issued against Executive Airplane Safety Communiqué No. 35-10 published in 1972, rather than a State of Design AD. The manufacturer recommended that the turbocharger oil inlet port fitting be replaced with a new steel fitting, after a reported incident involving failure of a turbocharger oil inlet port fitting. Such a failure would be a potential fire hazard. Compliance with the AD was within 100 hours TIS after 31 October 1972. As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, and no State of Design AD is applicable, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists. |
