AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 23/42.

Beechcraft 19, 23 and 24 Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 23/42 Engine Control Rod Safety Washers 4/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 10 April 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD) was raised against manufacturer’s Service Instruction (SI) 1243 rather than a State of Design AD.  The SI required the installation of a safety feature to the engine control rod ends.  Compliance with this AD was required within 100 hours TIS after 30 September 1983.  As all affected aircraft would now be modified, the unsafe condition no longer exists.
