Ad/Beech 23/40 - Horizontal Stabiliser Aft Centre Spar - Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 23/40.

AD/BEECH 23/40 Horizontal Stabiliser Aft Centre Spar 10/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1981 against Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 1167 required an inspection and possible replacement of the horizontal stabiliser aft centre spar.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 200 hours TIS until modified.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
