AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 200/41 Amdt 2.

Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 200/41 Amdt 2 Fuel Boost Pumps 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally raised in 1983 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No.2156, rather than a State of Design AD, and further amended in 1986, required inspection and/or replacement of fuel booster pumps to reduce the possibility of a fuel leak at the positive electrical terminal.

Compliance was divided into three steps; within 100 hours TIS after 30 September 1986 or before 31 March 1987 whichever occurs first, before further flight and before installation after 30 September 1986.

Given the time that this AD has been exposed to industry, and no State of Design AD is current, it is considered that all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now.  It is therefore considered that further promulgation is no longer necessary, and the unsafe condition is sufficiently contained to provide cancellation of this AD as an unsafe condition no longer exists.
