AD/BEECH 200/32 Left Hand Rudder Cable Installation Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 200/32.
Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEECH 200/32 | Left Hand Rudder Cable Installation | 4/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 10 April 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD), issued in 1981, required inspection of the LH rudder cable to ensure the cable had been correctly routed in the under-floor area as incorrect routing would cause abnormal wear that could lead to in-flight cable separation. The inspection was to be carried out in accordance with Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) 1172 rather than a State of Design airworthiness directive. Compliance with the AD was required within 100 hours time in service after 31 July 1981. As all aircraft would now be modified, the unsafe condition no longer exists. |
