AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 200/20 Amdt 3.

Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 200/20 Amdt 3 Cabin Door Pins - Fatigue Life Limitation 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally raised in 1977, placed a fatigue life limitation that was introduced by the manufacturer and the FAA on the forward and aft cabin entrance door latch bolts Part No. 50-430177-3 and 50-430018-9.

Compliance was upon or prior to the locking pins achieving 4500 pressurised flight cycles.  As the fatigue life limitation is contained in the Airworthiness Limitations Manual for the affected aircraft, this AD is no longer required.

Note:  A limitation of 5,000 cycles is now applicable, as contained in Beech 200 series Airworthiness Limitations Manual Chap 4-00-00 page 3, and Maintenance Manual Chap 5-11-00 page 205.
