AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 1900/1.

Beechcraft 1900 Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 1900/1 Stabiliser and Fin Moisture Sealing 10/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1989 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No. 2254, required sealing of certain horizontal and dorsal fin openings to prevent potential water contamination and/or freezing of flight control cables and servo mechanisms.  Compliance was required prior to the next inspection for maintenance release issue after 10 August 1989 or within 100 hours TIS after 10 August 1989, whichever is later.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
