AD/BEA 121/21 Nose Undercarriage and Rudder Control System Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEA 121/21.
Beagle B121 (Pup) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEA 121/21 | Nose Undercarriage and Rudder Control System | 7/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009. | |
Background: | This AD was raised in 1978 against British Aerospace (Scottish Division) Service Bulletin (SB) No. B121/77 following a manufacturers report of severe nose wheel shimmy. The SB recommended procedures to be used and noted that engineers should exercise their discretion as to when compliance should be applied. Compliance was required before further flight following report of severe nose wheel shimmy. Given that recommended procedures include the requirements of AD/BEA 121/8 and AD/BEA 121/17, the requirements of this AD can be satisfied by engineers using their discretion whenever reports of nose wheel shimmy are recorded. This AD is therefore no longer required. |
