AD/B767/133 Amdt 1 Flight Deck Dripshield Fire
Blocking Installation
11/2005

Applicability:

Model 767 aircraft, line numbers 470 through 768; except line number 758.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 2005-17-09 Amdt 39-14230.

Compliance:

Before 22 March 2007.

The compliance calendar time specified by FAA AD 2000-26-04 (original issue of this Directive) remains unchanged with the issue of superseding FAA AD
2005-17-09.

This Amendment becomes effective on 27 October 2005.

Background:

Investigations by the FAA indicated widespread use in drip shields of adhesive/material combinations that are easily ignited and able to propagate a small fire.

Amendment 1 is issued in response to a new FAA AD, which removes certain aircraft from applicability.
