AD/AS 355/31 Tail Rotor Gearbox Casing Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AS 355/31.

AD/AS 355/31 Tail Rotor Gearbox Casing 8/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD specified modification and periodic inspection of tail rotor gearbox casings in accordance with SB No. 05-18.  After modification, inspection was required at intervals not exceeding 400 hours time in service.  CASA’s SDR database does not contain a relevant report.  Use of an AD to mandate this 400 hourly inspection is no longer justified.
