AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ARTOUSTE/3.

Turbomeca Turbine Engines - Artouste Series

AD/ARTOUSTE/3 Combustion Chamber
Inner Shell - Inspection
10/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1967 against Turbomeca Instruction No. 72.218.0018 and AD/TURB-T/1 was a recommendation by the manufacturer that required an inspection for cracks on combustion chamber inner shells that had been modified to modification M8.  Inner shells cracked beyond limitations were to be replaced with shells of a different part number.

Compliance was:  At intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
