AMD Falcon 50 and 900 Series Aeroplanes

AD/AMD 50/42 Electrical Power 9/2007

Applicability:

Mystere-Falcon 50 aeroplanes, serial number (S/N) 251 together with S/N 253 and subsequent, without modification M3093 implemented.

Requirement:

Check for damages to the electrical feeder bundle, repair as necessary, and modify its routing as detailed in the accomplishment instructions paragraph of the Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin (SB) F50-483 initial issue dated 6 June 2007 or later approved revision.

Note:  EASA AD 2007-0175 refers.

Compliance:

No later than 12 August 2008.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 30 August 2007.

Background:

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has been advised by the aircraft manufacturer of reports of chafing between an electrical feeder bundle and a bus bar under the circuit breaker panel.  This chaffing could lead to loss of electrical power to some systems and may result smoke and/or fire.

This Directive requires an inspection of the electrical feeder bundle, repair if necessary and modification of its routing under the circuit breaker panel through implementation of modification M3093.
