AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AMD Falcon 50 and 900 Series Aeroplanes

AD/AMD 50/33 Central Engine Mast Rivets 7/2005

Applicability:

Model Falcon 900 EX aircraft, serial numbers 1 through 137; except aircraft with Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F900 EX -220 incorporated.

Requirement:

Action in accordance with Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F900 EX -220.

Note:  DGAC AD F-2005-066 refers.

Compliance:

Before the accumulation of 7,500 total flight hours.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 7 July 2005.

Background:

The DGAC received a report of two missing rivets in the front section of the central engine mast.  This discrepancy was discovered during production.
