AD/AL 250/76 Falcon Helicopters Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AL 250/76.
Allison Turbine Engines - 250 Series
| AD/AL 250/76 | Falcon Helicopters | 7/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD raised in 1995 following an investigation of a Major Defect Report (MDR) concerning failure of a turbine assembly 1.5 hours TIS after overhaul by Falcon Helicopters, Lee's Summit, Missouri, USA (Administration Repair Station SY2R178L). This repair station has ceased maintenance activities since surrendering all repair-related FAA certificates and refraining from involvement in aircraft maintenance by court order. Compliance was: Effective 11 August 1995; within 10 hours TIS. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines and modules to have been removed from service and overhauled by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
