AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AL 250/76.

Allison Turbine Engines - 250 Series

AD/AL 250/76 Falcon Helicopters 7/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 2 July 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1995 following an investigation of a Major Defect Report (MDR) concerning failure of a turbine assembly 1.5 hours TIS after overhaul by Falcon Helicopters, Lee's Summit, Missouri, USA (Administration Repair Station SY2R178L).  This repair station has ceased maintenance activities since surrendering all repair-related FAA certificates and refraining from involvement in aircraft maintenance by court order.

Compliance was:  Effective 11 August 1995; within 10 hours TIS.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines and modules to have been removed from service and overhauled by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
