AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AL 250/56 Amdt 1.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 24 September 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1985 against Allison Commercial Engine Bulletin Allison 250-C18 CEB-A-233 Rev.1, Allison 250-C20, C20B, C20F, C20JCEB-A-1211 Rev.1, Allison 250-B15GTP CEB-A-103 Rev.1, Allison 250-B17, B17B, B17CTP CEB-A-11172 Rev.1 and Allison 250-C28B, C28C CEB-A-72-2092 Rev.1, as appropriate, required a repeat inspection at intervals of 100 hours for wear of engine quick disconnect magnetic plug locking pins and slots.

Compliance was:  In accordance with requirement document.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated and no defect of this kind, appropriate to the engine type/model, has been recorded in the mandatory defect recording system following compliance with this AD, it is considered that this AD is no longer required.
