AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AL 250/30.

Allison Turbine Engines - 250 Series

AD/AL 250/30 Fuel System - Fuel Pump to Control
and Fuel Control to Pump By-Pass
Tube Clamps - Replacement
6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1978 against Allison Commercial Engine Bulletin (CEB) 250-C20/C20B CEB-1042, 250-C18 CEB-182 and 250-B17/B17B TP CEB-1059, as appropriate, required an inspection and modification of engine fuel system tubes to prevent fretting at clamping points.

Compliance was:  As detailed in requirement document which was to inspect for fretting at earliest convenience and modify no later than next overhaul if no fretting found.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been inspected and modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
