AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AL 250/20 Amdt 1.

Allison Turbine Engines - 250 Series

AD/AL 250/20 Amdt 1 Fuel Pump Drive Shaft - Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1978 against Allison Commercial Service Letter (CSL) 250-C18 CSL-61 Rev. 3, or 250-C20/C20B CSL-1007, Rev. 3 required an inspection for excessive spline wear of engine dual element fuel pump drive shafts.

Compliance was:  Within 100 hours TIS after 30 September 1978 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 200 hours TIS until modified in accordance with Allison
250-C18 CEB-161 or 250-C20/C20B CEB-1051.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been inspected and modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
