AD/AC-CLA/2 Rudder Pedal Torque Tube Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC-CLA/2.

AD/AC-CLA/2 Rudder Pedal Torque Tube 9/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 28 August 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1965, required an inspection in the vicinity of the rudder pedal torque tubes and cable bellcrank attachment following reports of cracks in the welds.

Compliance was at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS after 1 September 1971.

There have been no reports of defects in the mandatory reporting system as a result of this AD, and Schedule 5 requirements are adequate, so this AD is no longer required.
