AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/81 Amdt 1.

Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes

AD/AC/81 Amdt 1 Elevator Trim Tab 9/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 28 August 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally raised in1984 against Gulfstream Aerospace Service Bulletin (SB) No. 198A, required an inspection and modification to the elevator trim tabs following overseas and local reports of cracking.

Compliance was required within 25 hours TIS after 2 September 1985 and thereafter at intervals of 100 hours TIS until modified in accordance with part 2 of the requirement document.  Aircraft modified in accordance with part 2 of SB No. 198 required no further action.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected and modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
