AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/78.

Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes

AD/AC/78 Flight Control Chain
Connector Link - Inspection
8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in1983 against Gulfstream American (also known as Aero Commander) Service Letter (SL) No. 353, required an inspection to verify installation of flight control chain connector links, plates and keepers.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 1 February 1983.  As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
