AD/AC/74 Amdt 2 Fairleads On Aft Fuselage Frames Installation Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/74 Amdt 2.
Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/AC/74 Amdt 2 | Fairleads On Aft Fuselage Frames - Installation | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in1981 against Gulfstream American (also known as Aero Commander) Service Bulletin (SB) No. 181B, required a modification to ensure that rudder and elevator trim cable fairleads in aft fuselage are prevented from snagging the edge of fuselage frames. Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 October 1981. As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required. |
