AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/61 Amdt 1.

Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes

AD/AC/61 Amdt 1 Elevator Trim Sprocket Assembly - Inspection and Modification 8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1978 against Rockwell International (also known as Aero Commander) Service Letter (SL) No. 317, required an inspection and modification of rudder and elevator trim sprocket assemblies to ensure that the sprocket safety keys were installed properly and safety wired.  Compliance was required for those aircraft that have complied with SL 313 within 100 hours TIS after 30 September 1978, and those aircraft that have complied with SL 313 before
1 September 1979.  As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
