AD/AC/60 Aft Facing Seats Placard Installations Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/60.
Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/AC/60 | Aft Facing Seats - Placard - Installations | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in 1975 against Rockwell International (also known as Aero Commander) Service Bulletin (SB) No. 155, required installation of seat and shoulder harness placards of rear facing passenger seats to comply with applicable US Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR). Compliance was before further flight with any passenger seat installed in the aft facing position. As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required. |
