AD/AC/43 Elevator Servo Cable Guard Plate Installation Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/43.
Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/AC/43 | Elevator Servo Cable Guard Plate - Installation | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in 1970 against Aero Commander Service Letter (SL) No. 223, required a modification applicable to aircraft equipped with a Mitchell Century III Autopilot system by installation of an elevator servo cable guard plate to prevent the cable clamps catching on the aircraft structure. Compliance was required within 300 hours TIS after 30 September 1970. As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required. |
