Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes

AD/AC/29 Amdt 2 Fuel Sump Casting P/N 4630068 - Inspection 8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1967 against Aero Commander Service Bulletin (SB) No. 82A, required an inspection of the fuel sump casting for corrosion, and as necessary, replacing existing sump casing with a corrosion-resistant casting.

Compliance was:  Inspect vapour box before each flight and inspect sump casting at intervals of twelve months, until sump replaced with sump P/N 4630202 in accordance with Aero Commander SB No. 91.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
