AD/AC/26 Elevator Torque Tube Inspection and Modification Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/AC/26.
Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600 and 700) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/AC/26 | Elevator Torque Tube - Inspection and Modification | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in 1962 against Aero Commander Service Letter (SL) No. 124, required an inspection and modification of the elevator torque tube to prevent moisture being trapped in the torque tube, leading to corrosion on the inner wall and end fitting. Compliance was required forthwith. As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required. |
