AD/AC/20 Rudder Trim Tab Hinge Mount - Inspection 8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1962 against Aero Commander Service Letter (SI) No. 114A, recommended a one-off inspection for cracks in the "Z" sub spars which are located in the aft edge of the rudder and elevators where the trim tab hinges are mounted.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 500 hours TIS.

As there are no reports of defects in the SDR system, the AD is no longer required.
