AD/A330/31 Amdt 3 Airworthiness Limitations Items Time Limits/Maintenance Checks (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/A330/31 Amdt 2 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: | All Model A330 aircraft, all serial numbers. |
Requirement: | Review and assess the content of AIRBUS A330 Airworthiness Limitations Items (ALI) document reference AI/SE-M4/95A.0089/97 issue 15; and, Incorporate all applicable changes to requirements included in AIRBUS A330 ALI document reference AI/SE-M4/95A.0089/97 issue 15, into the approved maintenance programme; and, Comply with any action required by AIRBUS A330 ALI document reference AI/SE-M4/95A.0089/97 issue 15; for example, new or reduced thresholds / interval, or more stringent inspections. Background: | The certification requirement for damage tolerant structure is provided in AIRBUS MPD subsection 9-2 (Airworthiness Limitations Items). Document AI/SE-M4/95A.0089/97 referenced in MPD subsection 9-2, is officially an appendix of AIRBUS A330 Maintenance Review Board Report. Amendment 1 introduced the latest issue of the maintenance planning document. Amendment 2 introduced the latest issue of the Requirement document. The limitations for Damage-Tolerant Airworthiness Limitations Items (DT ALI) are currently listed in AIRBUS A330 ALI document reference AI/SE-M4/95A.0089/97, which is referenced in AIRBUS A330 Airworthiness Limitations Section (ALS) |
