AD/A330/110 Fuel Line Inspection (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: | Airbus A330 aeroplanes, models -202, -223, and other models listed in the requirement document, which have not received either Airbus modification 47293 or the modification specified in Airbus Service Bulletin A330-28-3063. |
Requirement: | Action in accordance with the requirements of DGAC AD 1999-046-091(B) R4. Note: Airbus Service Bulletin A330-28A3060 Rev 2 refers. |
Compliance: | At intervals specified in DGAC AD 1999-046-091(B) R4. |

Background: | In response to fuel leaks reported by A340 operators, repetitive inspections were introduced. When this DGAC AD was published there was no A330 aircraft on the Australian register. |
