AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

AD/A320/200 Certified Limitations - MPD Section 9-3 3/2007

Applicability:

All Model A318, A319, A320, and A321 aircraft.

Requirement:

Accomplish the requirements of Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 Certification Maintenance Requirements (CMR) document at issue 22, or later EASA approved issue.

Note:  DGAC AD F-2005-101 refers.

Compliance:

As specified in the Requirement document.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 15 March 2007.

Background:

Systems maintenance limitations are recalled in the Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 Section 9 (Airworthiness Limitation Section) under section 9-3 CMR.

Issue 22 of Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 CMR document (EASA version) referenced in MPD Section 9-3, was approved by EASA on 3 May 2005.  This issue introduces some new CMRs and decreases the interval of one CMR already listed.
