AD/A320/150 Flight Manual Amendment - Fuel
Leak Procedure
13/2005

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 22 December 2005.

Background:

An Airbus A330-200 was diverted following an extensive fuel leak.  During the diversion, both engines shutdown due to lack of fuel.  Fuel management by the flight crew was considered to have directly contributed to the total loss of fuel.  This Directive gave a fuel leak procedure for the flight crew to follow after an in-flight fuel leak had been detected.

The French DGAC have superseded AD 2003-119(B), referenced in the original issue of this AD with F-2005-165.  The requirement now is for operators to incorporate the latest revision of the flight manual with regard to fuel leak procedures.  The manufacturer has since issued flight manual amendments reflecting the latest fuel leak procedure. CAR 55 requires Certificate of Registration holders to incorporate revisions issued by the manufacturer.  As the manufacturer has issued such a revision, the requirements detailed in this AD have been addressed.
