Pacific Aerospace 750XL Series Aeroplanes

AD/750XL/8 Fuselage Roof, Station 180.85 11/2006

Applicability:

Model 750XL aircraft, serial numbers 102, 104 through 120, 122, and 125.

Requirement:

Inspect in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Pacific Aerospace Corporation (PAC) Service Bulletin No. PACSB/XL/019 Rev 1, dated 21 April 2006.

Note:  NZ CAA AD DCA/750XL/8 refers.

Compliance:

Within 150 hours time in service after 26 October 2006.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 26 October 2006.

Background:

During routine inspection of an aircraft at PAC, a row of rivets on top of the fuselage were identified as being 1/8-inch solid rivets rather than the specified 5/32-inch solid rivets.  Inspection of other aircraft at PAC revealed all had correct specification rivets. As this rivet error could have occurred in earlier production aircraft, this Directive requires a detailed inspection of certain fuselage top rivets.
