B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by th'e authority of the same, as follows:- 1. This Act may be cited as " The Acts Shortening Short title Acts Amendment Act of 1937," and shall be read as one and . with the *" Acts Shortening Act of 1867," as amended constructIon. by t" The Acts Shortening Act Amendment Act of 1903," t" The Statute Law Revision Act of 1908," and §"The Cremation Act Amendment Act of 1935," herein collectively referred to as the Principal Act. No. 16, and at the f.oot of such section, subsection, or paragraph the word "Penalty" appears followed by the words and/or figures indicative of the amount of the penalty, this shall be deemed to mean that any person who offends against the provisions of any such section, subsection, or paragraph shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding the sum so indicated, and, where any minimum sum is so indicated, not less than such minimum sum; and any person so offending shall be so liable."
