An Act to revise Acts of the Territory in consequence of changes in administrative arrangements
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Acts Revision (Administrative Arrangements) Act 1978.1
Commencement
2.1 (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act shall come into operation on the date on which it is notified in the Gazette.
(2) The amendments of the Milk Authority Act 1971 effected by this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on 21 December 1977.
Amendment of Acts
3.2 An Act specified in the Schedule is amended by omitting “Treasurer” from each provision of the Act specified in the Schedule and substituting “Minister of State for Finance”.
Transitional provisions
6. (1) In this section, “commencing day” means—
(a)in relation to the Milk Authority Act 1971—21 December 1977; and
(b)in relation to any other Act—the date on which this Act is notified in the Gazette.
(2) An Act specified in the Schedule, as amended by this Act, applies to and in relation to an approval, appointment or determination given or made by the Treasurer under that Act, as in force at any time before the commencing day, as if—
(a)this Act had been in operation when the approval was given or the appointment or determination made; and
(b)the approval had been given, or the appointment or determination had been made, as the case may be, by the Minister of State for Finance.
(3) An Act specified in the Schedule, as amended by this Act, applies to and in relation to an advance or payment made by the Treasurer for the purposes of that Act before the commencing day as if—
(a)this Act had been in operation when the advance or payment was made; and
(b)the advance or payment had been made by the Minister of State for Finance.

1. The Acts Revision (Administrative Arrangements) Act 1978 as shown in this reprint comprises Act No. 11, 1978 amended as indicated in the Tables below.
Citation of Laws—The Self-Government (Citation of Laws) Act 1989 (No. 21, 1989) altered the citation of most Ordinances so that after Self-Government day they are to be cited as Acts. That Act also affects references in ACT laws to Commonwealth Acts.
