s1 2 s3 Acts Interpretation No. 28, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Acts Interpretation Regulation 1997 . ˙ Activities declared to be commercial activities—Act, s 47C(5) 2. An activity mentioned in the schedule is a commercial activity. ˙ Meaning of “commemorative birth certificate” 3. A “commemorative birth certificate” is an extract about a child’s birth from an entry or duplicate entry in a register kept under the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Act 1962 that— (a) contains the same particulars as are required to be contained in extracts issued under section 22(1)(c) of that Act; and (b) is certified in the same way as those extracts are required to be certified; and (c) is more decorative than those extracts; and (d) also contains the following particulars as recorded in the entry or duplicate entry— (i) the mother’s and the father’s given names, age and place of birth; (ii) the mother’s maiden surname; (iii) the father’s surname.
