AN ACT to amend sections 84A and 85 of the Police Act 1892-1983 and section 4 of the Lotteries (Control) Act 1954-1983.

PART I.-PRELIMINARY.

Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Acts Amendment (Soccer Football Pools) Act 1984.

Citation. 3. (1) In this Part, the Police Act 1892-1983 is

referred to as the principal Act.

Section 84A

amended. 4. Section 84A of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by deleting "and" at the end of paragraph (e);
(b)	by deleting the comma at the end of para- graph (f) and substituting the following-

" ; and "; and

(c) by inserting after paragraph (f) the following paragraph-

" (g) the Soccer Football Pools Act

1984, ".

Section 85

amended. 5. Section 85 of the principal Act is amended in

subsection (4) by inserting after paragraph (aa)

the following paragraph-

" (ab) is conducted or permitted under the

Soccer Football Pools Act 1984; ".

7. Section 4 of the Lotteries (Control) Act 1954- =1,°,flel

1983 is amended in the definition of "lottery"

(a) by deleting "or" at the end of paragraph

(a);

(b) by inserting "or" at the end of paragraph (b); and

(c) by inserting after paragraph (b) the follow-

ing paragraph-

" (c) a soccer football pool within the meaning of the Soccer Football Pools Act 1984; ".
