(JUDICIAL SALARIES

AND PENSIONS).

No. 23 of 1974.

AN ACT to amend the Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act, 1950-1973 and the District Court of Western Australia Act, 1969-1972.

[Assented to 23rd October, 1974.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

This Act may be cited as the Acts Amend- ment (Judicial Salaries and Pensions) Act, 1974. Short title.

This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1974.

PART I.-JUDGES' SALARIES AND PENSIONS

ACT, 1950-1973.

3.    (1) In this Part of this Act, the Judges' Citation.

Salaries and Pensions Act, 1950-1973 is referred to as the principal Act.

Section 5

amended. 4. Subsection (1) of section 5 of the principal Act

is amended

(a)	by substituting for the words "twenty-seven thousand dollars" in line two of paragraph (a), the words "thirty-two thousand four hundred dollars";
(b)	by substituting for the words "twenty-four thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars" in lines five and six of paragraph (b), the words "twenty-nine thousand seven hundred dollars"; and
(c)	by substituting for the words "twenty-four thousand dollars" in lines one and two of paragraph (c), the words "twenty-eight thousand eight hundred dollars".

PART II.-DISTRICT COURT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

ACT, 1969-1972.

Citation.	5. (1) In this Part of this Act, the District Court of Western Australia Act, 1969-1972 is referred to as the principal Act.

Section 12

amended. 6. Subsection (1) of section 12 of the principal

Act is amended

(a)	by substituting for the words "twenty thousand eight hundred and eighty dollars" in lines one and two of paragraph (a), the words "twenty-five thousand and fifty-six dollars"; and
(b)	by substituting for the words "nineteen thousand four hundred and forty dollars" in lines two and three of paragraph (b), the words "twenty-three thousand three hundred and twenty dollars".
