AN ACT to amend certain Acts to provide for an increase in the amounts of certain license fees and other fees, and to empower the Governor to prescribe other such amounts.

[Assented to 21st January, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

2. (1) This section shall be read as one with the

(3) Section seven of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "by this Act" in line six.

(4) Section nine of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "The fee for a general license shall be twenty-five pounds, for a country license fifteen pounds, and for a district license five pounds" in lines one, two and three, and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "The fees for licenses under this Act shall be as prescribed, and, unless and until otherwise prescribed by regulation under this Act, the fee for a general license shall be thirty pounds, for a country license twenty pounds, and for a district license seven pounds ten shillings."

(5) Section fourteen of the principal Act is amended as follows :—

(a)

By deleting from subsection (1) the words "fee hereinafter mentioned" in line three and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "prescribed fee".

(b)

By deleting from subsection (3) the words "A fee of one guinea" in line one, and by insert- ing in lieu thereof the words "unless and until otherwise prescribed, a fee of two guineas".

(6) Section fifteen of the principal Act is amended by Amendment

inserting in subsection (2) after the word "license" in line one the words "shall be as prescribed, and unless and until otherwise prescribed".

(7) Schedule G of the principal Act is amended by Amendme»t of
