AN ACT to amend certain Acts so as to provide for an increase in the number of Judges of the Supreme Court.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and 1. This Act may be cited as the Acts Amendment

has been proclaimed in the State.

Construction.	2. (1) This section shall be read as one with the Supreme Court Act, 1935-1947 (Act No. 36 of 1935, as amended by Acts Nos. 10 and 35 of 1945, 50 of 1946, and 9 of 1947), referred to in this section as the prin- cipal Act.
Citation of

Principal Act	(2)	The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may

Amendment

of s. 7. (3)

Section seven of the principal Act is amended by

substituting for the word "three" in subsection (1),

line five, the word "four".

(4) Subsection (1) of section thirteen of the principal

(1) The rate of the annual salary payable respectively to the Chief Justice of the State and to each of the other Judges of the Supreme Court shall be that specified in the Fourth Schedule to the Constitution Acts Amendment Act, 1899, and any Act amending or substituted for it.

3. (1) This section shall be read as one with the Construction.
