An Act to further amend the Criminal Law and
Evidence Amendment Act. [4M November, 1898.]
| BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with | Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the |
the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative
authority of the same, as follows:—
1. I t shall not be lawful to comment at the trial of any person :
upon the fact that ho has refrained from giving evidence on oath on^
his own behalf. t
2. This Act may be cite I as the " Accuse I Persons Evidence!
Act of 1898," and shall be read with and construed as part of the
Criminal Law and Evidence Act of 1891.
