Accident Towing Services Amendment Regulations 2014

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008 to update references to police officers.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 223 of the Accident Towing Services Act 2007.

3Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

4Records to be kept by a licence holder

(1)In regulation 14(4) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer".

(2)In regulation 14(5) of the Principal Regulations for "member of the force" (where twice occurring) substitute "police officer".

5Moving motor vehicle to reduce a hazard

In regulation 36(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer".

6Refusal to salvage or tow from road accident scene

In regulation 39(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer".

7Schedule 3—Accident Towing Demerit Points

In column 2 of item 42 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations for "member of the force" substitute "police officer".

8Schedule 4—Infringements

(1)In column 3 of item 50 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations for "member of the police force" substitute "police officer".

(2)In column 3 of item 57 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations for "member of the force" substitute "police officer".
