Short title and citation . This Act may be cited as the Aborigines Act and Other Acts Amendment Act 1975.

This Act is divided into Parts as follows:- PART I-PRELIMINARY; PART II - AMENDMENTS OF THE ft ORIGINFS Acr 1971-1974; PART III-AMENDMENTS OF THE TO RRES STRAIT ISLANDERS ACT 1971-1974; PART IV-AMENDMENTS OF THE ABORIGINAL RELICS PRESERVATION Acr OF 1967; PART II-AMENDMENTS OF THE ABORIGINES ACT 1971-1974 3. Citation. (1) In this Part, the AboriginesAct1971-1974 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the AboriginesAct1971-1975. 4. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the terms " Deputy Director ", " Director " and " District officer " and substituting the following terms , respectively:- ""Deputy Director "-The Deputy Director of Aboriginal and Islanders Advancement under the Aborigines Act1971-1975; " Director "-The Director of Aboriginal and Islanders Advancement under the Aborigines Act1971-1975; " District officer "-A person appointed- as such under the AboriginesAct1971-1975 or the TorresStraitIslandersAct1971
